Replacement plates, stickers, and registration cards
Lost, stolen, or damaged license plates, registration stickers, or registration card? We prepare the replacement application at our counter, and eligible transactions leave with the new items the same day.
Required documents, transaction eligibility, inventory, and processing availability apply. Contact us to confirm your transaction.
Replace them right away
The DMV says license plates and registration stickers must be replaced immediately if they’re lost, stolen, damaged, or unreadable. The same application, the REG 156, also covers a lost or damaged registration card.

Common questions
My license plates were stolen. What do I do?
File a police report, then bring it to us with any plate you still have. The DMV requires the remaining plate to be turned in when plates are replaced. We prepare the replacement application (REG 156) and collect the DMV fee.
Can you finish my registration the same day?
Many renewals and transfers finish in one visit, including license plates, registration stickers, and registration cards for eligible transactions. Required documents, transaction eligibility, inventory, and processing availability apply. Ownership titles are issued by the DMV and arrive by mail.
Are you the DMV?
No. We’re a private business that handles smog checks and registration paperwork. DMV fees are set by the state and are separate from our service fee, and we tell you both before we start.
