About Lathrop Quick Smog

We’re a test-only station: we inspect vehicles and don’t sell repairs. The Bureau of Automotive Repair lists us as STAR-certified (station 312441), so we can test vehicles whose renewal notice calls for a STAR station.

Next to the smog bay, we handle registration paperwork: renewals, California and out-of-state title transfers, VIN verification, duplicate and salvage titles, replacement plates and stickers, and same-day plates, stickers, and registration cards for eligible transactions.

We’re an independent business, not a DMV office. DMV fees are set by the state. Our service fee is separate, and we tell you both before we start.
